GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS AND COURSE ASSESSMENT
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Students are required to achieve a minimum attendance of 75% in order to pass the module. Students who fail to meet the required attendance without valid reasons may be asked to re-unit the module.
GRADUATION CRITERIA
The passing grade of every module is >=50 marks. Students are required to attain a passing grade for all modules in order to graduate.
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA FOR COURSES
Students will be graded on assignment based for most modules (no final examinations). Consultation & Presentation sessions (If any) may also warrant marks.
For Professional Workshop:
Students are required to achieve a minimum attendance of 75% and passing grade of >=50 marks in order to graduate. A Professional Workshop Certificate will be awarded upon completion of their workshop. As our Workshop Certificate merits a Certificate of Achievement, students who do not achieve a passing grade will not receive a certificate (no certificate of attendance).
For Professional Certificate in Communication Design:
Students are required to achieve a minimum attendance of 75% and passing grade of >=50 marks for all modules in order to graduate. A Professional Certificate will be awarded upon the completion of their course.

For Professional Certificate in Editorial Design:
Students are required to achieve a minimum attendance of 75% and passing grade of >=50 marks for all modules in order to graduate. A Professional Certificate will be awarded upon the completion of their course.

For Professional Certificate in Corporate Identity Design:
Students are required to achieve a minimum attendance of 75% and passing grade of >=50 marks for all modules in order to graduate. A Professional Certificate will be awarded upon the completion of their course.

For Professional Certificate in Online Media Design:
Students are required to achieve a minimum attendance of 75% and passing grade of >=50 marks for all modules in order to graduate. A Professional Certificate will be awarded upon the completion of their course.

For Professional Certificate in Packaging Design:
Students are required to achieve a minimum attendance of 75% and passing grade of >=50 marks for all modules in order to graduate. A Professional Certificate will be awarded upon the completion of their course.
For Diploma in Communication Design:
Students are required to achieve a minimum attendance of 75% and passing grade of >=50 marks for all modules in order to graduate. A Diploma will be awarded upon the completion of their course.
For Specialist Diploma in Advertising Design:
Students are required to achieve a minimum attendance of 75% and passing grade of >=50 marks for all modules in order to graduate. A Specialist Diploma will be awarded upon the completion of their course.
For Professional Diploma in Advertising and Design:
Students are required to achieve a minimum attendance of 75% and passing grade of >=50 marks for all modules in order to graduate. A Professional Diploma will be awarded upon the completion of their course.
For Diploma in Digital Marketing:
Students are required to achieve a minimum attendance of 75% and passing grade of >=50 marks for all modules in order to graduate. A Diploma will be awarded upon the completion of their course.
For Diploma in Photography and Digital Communication:
Students are required to achieve a minimum attendance of 75% and passing grade of >=50 marks for all modules in order to graduate. A Diploma will be awarded upon the completion of their course.
For Certificate in Photography:
Students are required to achieve a minimum attendance of 75% and passing grade of >=50 marks for all modules in order to graduate. A Certificate will be awarded upon the completion of their course.

90% - 100% Higher Distinction
80% - 89% Distinction
70% - 79% Merit
60% - 69% Credit
50% - 59% Pass
40% - 49% Refer
0% - 39% Re-unit
EX Exempted
Re-unit/Re-assessment/Appeal
Re-assessment (refer) - 2 mini sessions (1 consultation, 1 presentation). Students will consult with their lecturer on their failed assignments and submit an improved version during the next session.
Re-unit - Students are required to re-take the entire module.
Appeal - Students may appeal to have their assignment re-marked by a different assessor if they are not satisfied with their grades.
*Students may appeal for a re-assessment instead of re-unit (exceptional cases and subjected to an interview with the Academic Manager).
